LTNS: Long Time No Sex, a clickbait?

Even though the title and premise of “Long Time No Sex,” which premieres its first two episodes on January 19, 2024, certainly seek to stimulate and raise curiosity in potential audiences, accompanying its clickbait frankness and promiscuity, there is something else working at the center of the series and its meaning.

The lives of modern-era men and women who have destroyed their passion amid the hustle of everyday life is what the pair co-directors Jeon Go-woon and Lim Dae-hyung desired to present.

Expectations

Going totally by the English acronym LTNS (“Long Time No Sex”), this comedy from TVING stars two well-esteemed and edgy actors (Esom and Ahn Jae-hong) as husband and wife. Poised as a banter of sexless and barren marriages where adultery is abundant, the leading couple find themselves in a sort of slump.

Their fix? Unite over their displeasure for cheating spouses and accumulate evidence that they can use to earn some real cash, blackmail style. With excellent ability behind the camera as well, this short-form melodrama is sure to enact a statement, stretching our typical K-drama limits.
